you you take a lot of the politics out of it, right?

So, you know, you and you're not you're not kind of being guided by the political whims of whoever happens to be in power at the time.

It's a it's a legal process and it's quite an interesting way that they've done it.

It's c cost them a lot, you know, not just in resources but in time and energy and

You know, I mean, um this this part of the litigation's been going for some sixteen, seventeen years.

You know, like people

And here we are.

So it's gonna be a wonderful occasion.

Yeah, well the the success of the party Māori, particularly in the last election, was that they were able to pick up what six six um electorate seats, six of the Māori seats.

And and so that creates that that overhang you're talking about because the party because there's there's so many electorate seats and then the party vote also brings with it a certain number of seats.

So so say for instance, and they've probably read the room a little bit here,

if Māori are wanting to you know vote for an electorate seat but put their party vote elsewhere

Um, for instance, you know, obviously you've seen the opportunity party kind of rising through the ranks.

If they can get over the five percent, then that adds um um more seats.

So what you have then is

perhaps uh the left block getting a bit bigger, you know, getting getting getting more seats and it and it reduces the percentage or the the influence of of the right bloc.

So um the the other thing too with party money I guess is that you know the their their MPs have had

uh, you know, three years to submit themselves in those in those particular electorates.
