One and a half cards all the time.

Yeah, I didn't see the game live because I was at the New Zealand Booksellers Awards for Aotearoa.

And my book, Speaking My Language, Te Korero e Toko Reo, won Best Audio Book of the Year!

Yay!

Well, there were some pretty good contenders.

Other finalists were Jacinda Ardern, the former Prime Minister, and she voiced her own book.

Ellie Moore, she voiced her own book.

Yeah.

And it's quite a difficult thing to do.

Even though, obviously, I read words aloud for a living, you can't just read the text.

You've got to tell the story.

And it was a big responsibility for me because the whole thing, the whole book is about voice, about finding your voice, reclaiming your voice.

And so using my voice to tell it was really important.

And yeah, it was a tough day.

It takes quite a bit.

So I was in the studio like every Saturday and Sunday for about a month.

Yeah, so I don't know how many hours.

I was at Crescendo out at Henderson.

Those guys were great.
