And I mean, there was some anecdote that people there didn't want to shower around that they're afraid of what was in the water.
I don't I mean, I don't know.
But that's part of what the study the bears are doing right now.
But again, this is so late in the game.
Why wouldn't you have done this earlier?
Why wouldn't you have made this Hammond play right at the beginning?
uh and remember 30 years ago you know the gary bears were in play the elk grove village bears were in play arlington was in play uh the mcdome was in play so all these things were and then and they they ended up with what they ended up with you know um so there's such a history here of of all sides here just not not really being very effective um in getting a deal done and let's remind everybody the bears don't need the legislation they say they need the legislation
They can start building whenever they want.
Nothing's preventing them.
They just want the tax certainty because they say that's how they're going to get loans from financial institutions to build this.
And they want the infrastructure, which also no one's talked about that yet.
And they still have that traffic study in Arlington Heights that they're waiting for.
So lawmakers aren't going to approve any infrastructure funding by Sunday.
I can almost guarantee that.
So that part of it's a big part of it that's still unresolved.
So it's like we're still at square zero here.
