The fact that I'm making sounds out of my mouth and you understand those sounds makes no absolute sense.

Let me read you something before we close.

I wrote this recently, but this is, I've been asked this a lot because I think a part of a larger question right now in my line of work is,

Many people keep asking, Pastor, why aren't more pastors speaking up?

Why aren't more churches speaking up?

Why are they silent?

And Don, one of the things that's really interesting to me right now is watching people show up at our church that are leaving other churches and or spiritual collectives because they keep saying, and these are like mega churches around Atlanta, they're leaving and they're saying, I can't continue to support because I'm

Uh, the pulpit, the stage, the pastor is absolutely silent, just will not address anything.

And so I wrote this and I think it'd be a good conclusion for everything we're saying right now, because there is a difference Don between separation of church and state institutionally speaking and faith in politics.

And the thing that I've learned is I cannot tell people to love their neighbor without talking about politics.

And I would also remind people politics is a good word.

Now I know, I mean, think about it, Don, it's been so beaten down in our culture, but in its essence, it is.

Our shared common good together.

That's what it is.

And so I wrote this, and this one goes out to every person that is a part of a church or wondering why their pastors don't speak up, wondering why religious leaders aren't speaking up, wondering why more people just aren't speaking up.
