A sacrifice is not necessarily in the bloody stuff, but it's a proof of commitment, a proof of seriousness, a proof of engagement, a proof of priority.

You know, God is a God of purpose so much so that, you know, the Bible says God does not cast his pearls before swine.

In other words, anything that is a pearl in God, which is precious, he values it that he gives it to those who also value it in turn.

So?

Fasting, what it does.

He sees that sacrifice.

God loves sacrifice.

Sacrifice is a powerful principle in the things of God.

That's why there could have been no salvation but by the sacrifice of his son, Jesus.

Yeah.

There could be no grace given except by sacrifice.

You see, one thing I learned about fasting is that

It's about food.

And food is the most common denominator everybody needs.

It's a necessity.

Food is not a luxury.

It's a necessity.

You need food to live.

So both the rich and the poor can have something to offer God for a sacrifice.
