It can end a hundred different ways.

It could end on a strikeout, a routine ground ball to shortstop, a wild pitch, a throwing error, a double, a triple, a home run.

You have no idea the way a game is going to end.

So to try to plan out word for word.

What you would say, I think, is a big mistake.

And I did not do that.

I said two things to myself.

I want to keep my voice under control because I've heard some very good announcers, experienced announcers lose control of their voice at a critical time.

So that was a I did not want that to happen to me.

keep control of your voice, keep it down, and also be true to your radio audience.

I'm not a television guy.

I'm not a network TV guy.

I am a local radio man, and that's very special to me, and I hope I can do that the rest of my life, and I'd be very happy.

And when you're a radio man, you have to be true to your radio audience.

So try to paint the picture, be detailed, keep your voice down, and give it your best shot.
