Little off the beaten path, not a star.
Benny Fowler was a wide receiver with the Giants for a couple years.
He was just a great guy, but also had a ton of connections and stories.
He was a high level bat basketball player growing up, grew up with Draymond Green.
had that relationship, ended up doing a story talking to Draymond about him, but was just a connector.
Like the type of people that I like are the people who open more doors for me and I can mo open more doors for them.
And Benny's kind of the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back, connect you with someone else in the locker room.
Peyton Manning, right?
Yeah, just endless.
Like the type of guy you're thinking, what is he, wide receiver six or seven at any point, and yet everybody knows him, everybody likes him.
And actually, he opened the door to me on the dinners that the team was taking Daniel Jones to.
So when Daniel was young, a lot of the veterans like Russell Shepard, Benny Fowler, some of these guys, people that you wouldn't think of, were going to dinner with Daniel a lot.
It wasn't just like O line.
Minor quarterbacks and were kind of teaching him, showing him the ropes a little bit.
And it was just a really good look behind the scenes and something I appreciated, still friends with him to this day.
