Sometimes when fellas play really well in games, they lose, it gets forgotten about.
That was 19, yeah.
That was an unbelievable goal as well.
And even, you know, I know we don't forget it, but you know, Robert Downey's goal in 2024, you know what I mean?
It doesn't get shown as much, I suppose, because Tony Kelly's goal, because Clare got over the line by a pint, Tony Kelly's goal is the one that's shown then forevermore, whereas Downey's goal doesn't get it, which is gas.
But that day, John, it just, well, one thing that came, what had to happen, John, was that high ball that was coming in
that long, long ball that was coming in, it was breaking in behind and that had to be stopped.
You know, I remember, and I think it was Dan Morrissey either came on or moved into the centre.
I don't know if he came from wing-back or came back on.
yeah so Dan Morrissey was huge in that in terms of he came in and he stopped that long ball from breaking in behind because we all know when you're involved in underage teams you're always telling your backs be a wall if you can just don't let the ball go in behind break it in front whatever happens just try and stop the ball it's coming against you
and we had brother I often mention brother Armour he used to be roaring at the whole time stop the ball coming against you pull on the ball going with you he used to be trying to get us playing ground harder but he was always stopping the ball and other than that when the ball was stopped John we had that bit of a platform it was the job then of the half forwards to come out and get that double centre forward the midfielders it was just put to them like lads the work has to come up here Jason Ford is
Jason Ford is picking off pints here why is he picking them off because there's no one on him they're working that extra man we're not working hard enough you know what I mean it's always put and well you're right about what you said about you know what looks like Ben O'Connor is doing with the Cork half forward line a half forward line is a hard place to play in all that because the workload is just so big so to answer your question John it would have been put to the Limerick half forward line why aren't you getting out and why aren't you getting out that 20-30 yards getting back and tackling him from behind
Like, why aren't you doing it?
You know what I mean?
You have to do it.
If you don't do it, we're in serious trouble here.
So, the job of the half-barley nowadays, lads, is just so... There's so much going on when you're playing in the half-barley.
I think they'll follow him a little bit further up.
At least one of them.
I think who's ever closest to the ball will say... We'll just give an example that Healy will be on 10, right?
