And certain directors had come from the Abbey too, done a lot of work in New York and various other stages.
You know, Gary Hines and people like that.
So there's a great, and it's just, there's a great history attached to the Abbey theatre.
So I will now be part of that history, which is what playing there means, you know.
Yeah.

And then there's times when you don't know.
Like, I remember the very first Father Ted script I got.
I'm going, this is bloody mad.
It's absolutely mad.
Now, to look back on it now, it doesn't seem mad.
You know, it was fun, but it was so out there at the time.
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah, yeah, it's great.
It's great daftness and madness.
But to see it for the first time without ever having experienced it before was a bit of a challenge on the page.
Martin McDonagh's work was the same, you know, and Blind Boy's work is the same.
