Transferring five embryos would be unheard of today.
I doubt you could find a doctor who would do it.
But in the 1990s, things were different.
In 1991, it was far more common to transfer fresh embryos versus frozen embryos.
But Diane and Budge did freeze their remaining embryos, still hoping to use them in the future.
Did you then take an at-home test?
when you had a pregnancy test done back in Nebraska and learned that your embryo transfer was unsuccessful, did you then contact Dr. Ash and what did he say?
So how many transfers did you end up doing with Dr. Ash?
Um...
I believe I did three.
Three transfers.
Wow.
So flying to Southern California, flying home to Nebraska and waiting, flying back and doing it over again.
Yeah.
And with infertility, you know, if you share it with friends and family, it's like, yeah, it's amazing to have that support.
But then you have people who are with good intentions waiting to hear if something was successful or not.
And you have to
your own emotions and then also tell the people you love that it didn't work.
Yeah.
