I think if you're a reader
You've learned to be more
uh maybe judgmental about things.
You you're more considerate about things because you have experienced different lives and and you're more open to that.
And that's going to be really
well first of all it's the same reason we gravitate to screens.
It's easier.
You know, reading, no matter how I dress it up, requires a bit of effort and a bit of work.
But if we stop doing it, it'll become harder and harder for us to do it.
For me, for small children, I think the best thing still is I call it falling over.
Work, falling over books.
You don't have to say, here's a book, read it.
Leave books on the kitchen table.
Leave them places where they'll find them.
And maybe more importantly, let them see you reading.
You know, it's very hard to say to a child, read if you don't read.
