Obviously you're playing for your country now, you're playing for the badge on your chest and we're all very proud to wear that out there and try and defend that badge and put Australia as far as we could in terms of creating more history and getting as far as we could and before.

10 years in football, the goalkeeping side of things has been a lot more frequently playing out the back.

So yeah, I work on it a lot.

It's something that obviously being at Melbourne City the last three seasons, that's definitely how we play, our play style, a lot with the ball at my feet.

So yeah, it's something that when I'm called upon and to do it, I like to be able to bring calmness and a bit of composure at the back to help the team in that aspect as well.

I guess I think when you're in the moment, you're not even really thinking about that.

So in that aspect, yeah, okay.

But I knew once I saw my name coming up, my number being shown, that there was obviously a discussion behind this and there was a plan.

So I understood that straight away.

And yeah, I had no other thoughts.

Just ran off and gave Matty all the best and was then cheering the boys on from the sideline.

No, I didn't hear anything about the sub at any point leading up to the game or during the game at all.

Obviously, I found out about it the same times you guys did as well.

So, yeah, as I said, just saw the number up and then just reacted and went off and shoot the boys on from there.

Yeah, I think it's something where the boys practiced it a fair bit.

you know, especially the week leading up to the Egypt game because obviously it started going to extra time and penalties and so we definitely practiced it many times, very consistent and the boys are doing a great job with that.
