Did you fall in love then when you started making music together?

Yeah.

Pretty much, yeah.

Like, and a lot of the music was very romantic.

Like, there is something, like, I still love to sing and Anna loves to sing and we do a lot of singing with friends and stuff.

There's something really powerful about singing and there's something really powerful about singing with groups of people and singing a duet with somebody.

Yeah.

It's intimate, like, is it?

Yeah.

And there's an emotional component.

There's something, the thing I think I love about music is that there's a kind of embedded emotion in the structure of what you're singing that almost has nothing to do with the words.

And you kind of tap into that when you're singing with someone else.

It's physical, like it's going through you all together.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So why have you chosen Graham Parsons and Emmylou Harris' Love Hurts?

They were, I guess, the template for what our band was trying to do.

And we kind of loved that song.

And me and Anna covered that song.

And we still play it.
