But also it's kind of very much central to me and Anna's relationship.

Can I ask you first, though, is there some point... I think you started into writing and journalism more seriously kind of when you hit 30 or so.
Is there some point in the whole band thing where you go...
okay, actually, I'm not going to make a life out of this and it's time to stop.
Or did you ever believe that it would be your life forever?
We had kind of conflicted kind of notions.
We were so influenced by, on the one hand,
like bands like fugazi who were like really anti-commercial stuff but also we we thought that maybe somehow we could be really really ethical and rich at the same time or or that we could make a living at it in some way um it was it was slightly heartbroken breaking towards the end when i kind of realized actually this is really hard to make a living at there's there's
And I kind of, I think for a short period of time, I saw it as a bit of a failure.
Like in retrospect, I don't see it as a failure at all.
And I think that that DIY ethos saved us because I look back now and there's like a bunch of records we put out and I still meet people who've got those records.
