Hockey has this issue of not always valuing people's experience, like actually spending time learning how to do the job, right?

You know, this is the ongoing argument in American soccer.

Should we be spending money on the youth coaches or on the senior team coach?

And of course, all the things that come with that.

But it's the same thing, right?

Like this is an organization that right now should be looking at how do we make sure that our young players get everything they need,

So that at the very least, we can say we did everything we could to make sure that these guys are ready to go and that every one of these ones has the best chance possible to turn into an NHLer.

And obviously, like I said, there's still a couple months left in summer and we'll see how things play out.

But sooner than later, it will be August.

And then sooner or later, it will be September.
