And because of a sort of strange quirk in this story,

During this whole period of time when Rochelle and Matthew were trying to figure out what happened to Zach and they would sit down and have conversations with people, they would record those conversations on their iPhones.

And so for a reporter, it's an interesting situation.

The Metropolitan Police in London never cooperated with me during the years I spent investigating this case.

But I do have recordings of all of the conversations that they had with the Brettlers, including the conversation in which the chief detective overseeing this whole thing describes in detail that footage to the Brettlers.
