I told him that I write for the New Yorker magazine and I write these investigative narrative pieces.

And what he said was, I know a family here in London.
I'm very close with them.

They lost a child.
Their 19-year-old son, Zach, died in mysterious circumstances.
And after his death, his parents, whose names are Matthew and Rochelle,
were trying to figure out what had happened to him.
He'd gone off this balcony.
How did he go off the balcony?
Why did he go off the balcony?
What was he doing there in the first place?
And they made this astonishing discovery, which is that unbeknownst to them, their teenage son had had a secret life and had been moving around adult London with an alter ego.
