There are typically communication things that are happening between the advisor and their clients that's going to contribute to that education over time.

And then certainly when you're catching up for the annual progress meeting and other discussions during the year, that is going to happen.

Now, some people are more interested in learning about that stuff than others.

For some people, they hire a planner because they just don't really want to think about that sort of stuff.

You know, it's outsourcing it.

So it's a bit horses for courses.

But generally, and I have seen some stats around the fact that people with a financial planning relationship do feel that they've got a higher level of understanding about the financial world than those that don't.

Yeah, there are.

So, I mean, divorce is one that comes up a bit.

People get a divorce settlement and, all right, we've got a lump of money and how are we going to rebuild our life?

So that one comes up a bit.

Inheritances come up too.

I mean, the classic, of course, is, hey, I'm retiring at some point in the future, but at the point where I can start to see myself being retired and say, hey, I better start doing some planning about that and

I mean, it's tricky when they come in and say, hey, I'm retiring next month, but hopefully you get a bit more lead time and therefore there's some actions that you can take.

Another one that comes up a bit is where people have paid off their mortgage and they're sort of, all right, well, I'm used to putting X amount of dollars in the mortgage every month.

And I don't know, I've paid off the mortgage.

What am I going to do with that cash flow now?

That's a really good one.

As a planner, that's a nice one to get because it's like, oh, good, you know, we can really work on building something here.

And I guess just more broadly, it can often be just people who are
