Like, do you think that led to, like, the type of player you became where you were just, it was so responsible, right?
Like, because you had to be that way maybe at, like, a younger age?
Yeah, I think the, you know, it definitely made me, like, conscientious of, like, you know, my defensive game and, like, making sure that, you know, because if you make a mistake, if you're on the fourth line, like, you're probably not seeing the eyes again, right?
So, like, obviously there is that part, but also our coach that year was really big on, like, face-offs and, like, playing the right way and, like, you know, like, not taking any chances offensively.
And, you know, I'm a type of guy that wants to do right by the coach.
Yeah, you want to impress your coach.
Right thing.
And like, so like that was like, I took so much, I put so much emphasis on like face-offs and working on it and like making sure that, you know, I was doing the right.
So I think that helped me a lot that year, like that learning process of like playing defensively sound, but also like, you know, try to eventually bring some offense to it as the year progressed.
The rookie year happens, which is just incredible, the way that all works out.
And then all of a sudden, boom, league's canceled.
Now, since you're under the entry-level deal, was there any discussion of anything, or was it Providence?
You knew you were going to be in Providence, which I was in the AHL that year.
It was a great league.
Every team, five to seven guys were on the NHL team the next year.
But was there talk of going to Europe or anything?
You know, guys that...
And yeah, like what, so like, what was all that like?
And they like the, the new rules we did in during that year, they tried the no red line.
So we were using.
