I think that I would,

Whenever I consider any item that comes before me on anybody, I think the important things are to get as much information as possible about the topic.

Obviously there's staff reports, there's public comment, which I think is

critical importance because as I mentioned before it's about people right so we need to make decisions that represent the people of Mountain View and one thing that I like is I don't know if it's still true but it used to be that the in the city budget the org chart for the city has everybody reporting to the

city manager, city attorneys, city clerk, and then to the city council.

But then the council reports to the people.

And I think that is something that I always keep in mind.

And so I read the staff report thoroughly, I ask probing questions, and

And then at the end of the day, I have to come to a decision.

And I think it's important that when processing the information to make people feel heard.

As people give the public comment, it's important to actually listen to them and not be fussing with your papers while they're talking, but to actually listen and make them feel heard and respected.
