I think that puts people in a good headspace to start.
And then from there, I think what's really amazing about what people tend to do is that we can find things to like in people even when others don't see it.
That is, it's not that we all have this true permanent value about how desirable we are.
We come off differently to different people.
And this becomes more and more true over time.
I think this reflects something about our evolved condition.
I think it reflects something about like, hey, you know, a few million years ago, you had to pair up with somebody and you couldn't be holding out for the quote unquote best.
You had to find somebody and make it work with them.
I think we're pretty good at doing that.
But repeated interaction is core.

Yeah, so this is not my favorite feature of the apps.
And look, the apps do introduce people to folks that you never would have had a chance to meet before.
But where I think they falter is where they provide people a sense that you can cull that sometimes very vast pool to something more manageable that looks exactly like what you would have drawn up for yourself on paper.
That there's the perfect partner waiting out there for you
who has a list of attributes along the lines of what you describe.
