Yeah, I've had too many transfer windows at Tottenham sitting around doing absolutely nothing and being really envious of the other reporters and all the other clubs doing the things.
So it's actually been quite nice the last couple of windows where they've actually started to get something in.
But I think that's maybe just a sign of how the squad has sort of progressed.
You think through Maurizio Pochettino's time, they got a really settled squad.
It was working for them.
He was getting the best out of that team without actually going to that next level and winning a trophy.
But they were playing good football.
They reached the Champions League final.
And all of a sudden then, after a certain amount of time, it's quite normal with a football team and that cycle.
I think Sir Alex Ferguson will always warn about it.
talking about how long a cycle lasted with a football club and it maybe just felt a bit stale in places in that squad so I think they're in the process at the moment and over the last couple of windows of just adding bit by bit you know you saw Lucas Moura come in on one of the deadline days you saw
Obviously, you know, throughout this window, Bergwijn, Lo Celso becoming permanent and Jenson Fernandes.
So they're just adding, yeah, I think they're just adding sort of a few more in that freshens up the squad.
Young players, you know, we look at Bergwijn, he's pacey, he's a goal threat, he's somebody as well.
We're being told that they can happily play him out wide so young men's son can play down the middle as cover for Harry Kane.
And that's the reason that they're not necessarily in a panic if they don't get...
A striker today, obviously at the time of recording, we're here at Tottenham's training ground the morning of deadline day, so we're still waiting to see if that materialises.
But as things stand, the striker deal has been difficult to get over the line.
But what we've been told here is there's no real panic if they don't manage to do that, based on the fact that they're aware that this is sort of, I don't want to use the word rebuild, but almost like a mini-rebuild, and they're adding slowly but surely, and hopefully...
in their eyes, improving the squad.
