But the one that struck me and stayed with me, um, is the mist.

The mist, um, was the, the ending that changed that Darabont made to the ending was just, uh, unimaginable.

And it was like, wow, this is crazy.

I'm, I'm a sucker for like the, the kind of cosmic horror stuff anyway.

So you've got these big gigantic monsters everywhere out of this, you know, mist that, that hooked me right away.

I was like, oh yeah, I love this.

Um,

And I remember a small quick story for whatever reason, I don't remember why, but I was at my parents' house the first time I watched it and I'm, everyone is gonna judge me and I'm sorry.

I was still pretty young and dumb.

I was in that phase, young and dumb.

I pirated the movie and I watched it just on the computer.

Like my parents had like an old school dinosaur desktop with a big giant tower, you know, remember those?

And I watched it on this desktop.

And I don't know, it was like the middle of the night.

And I was like watching this and it got to that part.

And I was like...

You know, I was like, oh my God, I can't believe what just happened.

And it was just something that just stayed with me.

And even though it might not be the very best adaptation, it was one that resonated with me and it still does to today.
