artist as explorer is art for the, is art for the artist versus is art for the audience.

And we've, we've traversed a lot of ground.

We've, we've talked about it, the two poles and the reputations associated with each.

We've talked about it, perhaps it's a developmental cycle, not so much chronologically, but maybe topically like within a career that there's a certain life cycle in a career.

And it often is,

correlates with lifetime often.

So it's easy to kind of mix those.

One interesting point that we didn't get to that I want to bring on, Eric, is how this applies to woodworking.

I would like to draw a distinct parallel.

So we've talked a lot about craft versus designer versus artists, right?

We have two episodes on art versus craft.

And in those episodes, you'd say, okay,

Art is for the artist, right?

Like, I'm going to make this.

And if people don't understand it, it's their problem, you know, contemporary art, right?

And craft has often been a little bit looked down on as, like, utilitarian.
