Well, that's not very creative.

But one of the things that I sort of stumbled upon as I was thinking about how the art for the artist versus art for the audience, you'd say art for the audience is craft, right?

Like it has a function, right?

And therefore, craft has an audience floor associated with it, right?

Craft, whether it's cutting boards or chairs or benches or beds or whatever or dressers, they have an innate function associated with them.

And we call them craft.

They're part of a tradition.

And they have a built-in audience, right?

The audience comes with it.

Everyone needs a cutting board.

Everyone needs a chair.

Everyone needs this, right?

Whereas art for the sake of art doesn't necessarily come part and parcel with an audience.

You have to earn that audience, whether it's through storytelling or like, oh, I'm trying to make a piece that challenges the thinking of this.

And you have to kind of tell your story and earn that audience through art.

Whereas craft comes with a built-in audience, part and parcel of it being functional.

There's a loose tie there.

Yeah, the primal force that drives music to be rhythmic is very lizard brain.

And then there's music that's very ivory tower.
