Jack almost certainly was coaching though.

And Jack was on the quiet SP bookmaking, which is illegal, but that was how Jack made his fortune.

So Jack was a bouncer at Tomo's 2UP, and at the end of the night, Tomo would go home, and whatever time he'd go home, he'd leave the rest of the night to the bouncers, and they could pick up their cash, right?

So whatever was made the rest of the night, they went to the bouncers, and that's sort of where a lot of them got their start.

Now out of that, Jack began SP bookmaking, which was a pretty cutthroat industry back in the day.

And they backed a horse one day, I think it was in the Epsom.

Was it in the Epsom or the Doncaster?

I'm not sure which one.

Anyway, it was a mud runner.

The rain was coming.

And they thought, this thing just loves the wet.

It's going to piss in.

So we're all over it.

And it was only a 33 to 1.

They backed it up.

Anyway.

Sun comes out and just bakes the course for four days.

And it's just getting harder and harder each day.

And then the night before the race, the Friday night, they're like, mate, where's this rain?
