So, yeah, they're difficult, but they have evolved over time, Joe.
They're not as, you know, the ones I've been doing in TV the last 10 years.
I mean, this week we've got fairways that are ranging up to 65 yards in width.
I mean, I played when they were 25 yards in width.
And, you know, Trevino affirmatively said you have to work single line down US Open fairways.
That's not the case anymore.
They really have evolved the test that it is, but it's still going to be difficult this week.
Well, it's not off the tee.
And even though they've widened the fairways this year, you know, Kepka hit, Tommy Fleetwood hit over 80% of the fairways the last time it was played here when Kepka won, which is about 15% more than Tour average.
So...
It's not that demanding off the tee and even less so this year because they've expanded the fairways.
They range from 40 yards now to 65 yards wide.
It's quite incredible that that has evolved that way.
However, that's not the difficulty around here.
The difficulty around here is the greens.
The complexes are quite small.
They've got a lot of sections in them and there's huge runoffs around the greens.
So the green complexes are the challenge here.
And then you throw in the wind.
We're right at the end of the peninsula here in Long Island.
