I think the round of 16 would be my kind of basement expectation of this group to be able to call it a success of any sort.
And getting to a quarterfinal would take that to the next level, of course.

And it's important to recognize like in the context of American soccer history, maybe it's special because they've gone to European clubs at younger ages and play at bigger clubs.
But in the context of the global game, it's not that special.
And we have to remember that we have to be able to compare this team to the competition and not just to its own history.
Well, I think both groups present interesting challenges, right?
Look, I think Canada's group is more favorable to Canada than the U.S.
group is to the U.S., in part because
I think Qatar is a team that Canada goes into this tournament saying, we should absolutely win that game.
If you don't get a result against Qatar, you're disappointed.
Whereas with the US, I don't know that there's a matchup like that where you say 100% we should win this game.
Australia may be the closest to it, but look at what Australia did in the last World Cup, the way that they played, how difficult they were for Argentina when they were playing Argentina in the tournament.
