But I think since then, especially in the past year or so, the Gardaí have been very proactive in taking on these more extreme right-wing elements that we saw.

Okay, there are much deeper issues.

There are issues around that have to be addressed, like sociological issues.

Why have we got so many kids who are prepared at the drop of a hat?

to come out for a bit of recreational rioting and just basically burn the place down at every opportunity.

But more deeply, it's the toxic element that can inspire and incite that level of violence that really needs to be taken on.

And all the indications are that it is being taken on and addressed.

But it is something, you know, they haven't gone away, you know, they're still there.

Oh, much better, yeah.

Much more focused.

Intelligence is better.

But the morale is better.

You know, it's all down to morale as well.

You know, you put out 50 guards, or 20 guards, or whatever, standing in a line in front of this mad-bane, hooded mob...

hurling bricks and stones and petrol bombs and whatever else they can get their hands at them.

And if they are demoralized, then they don't have any stomach for the fight because literally what we are expecting them to do is fight to restore law and order.

But all the indications are that the organization is well capable now of dealing with that.

But if we hadn't learned the lessons that occurred

you know, the lessons that were learned or should have been learned and were learned from that particular night, what started with the attack on these little kids, these innocent little kids, then we can be in a worse place now.

But that proactive operation took out that cell that were involved or plotting to burn the mosque in Galway.
