Trauma looks like
all different things and it comes in all different packages, but there are times where this parenting is so very difficult that it affects the core of us that doesn't stop when our kids turn 18.
And kids like ours don't traditionally launch and they definitely don't follow that traditional timeline.
I think you as well as I we have parents constantly asking us.
How do we get our kids to launch?
What do we do?
My kids 20, they're still at home, they're not working, whatever it is.
And success just has to be defined so much differently.
But also there's so much work in us being able to accept that and to let go and be okay.
And there's so many outside forces that are telling us it's not okay.
And we have to manage and juggle all of these things while also helping our kid figure out how to be
Independence some day, whenever that is for them.

And I'm excited to talk about that distinction because I think that we really need to shift.
