It works for winning elections, but it works before the elections even happen.
And so we have got to keep it up.
Of course, it is tiring.

than should ever be asked of an American just exercising their First Amendment rights.

The problem is that Jack Cittarelli knows that standing up for New Jersey
would require standing up to Donald Trump.
And he just doesn't have the backbone to do that.
He would rather see those jobs destroyed.
He'd rather see those workers get hurt and commuters get hurt than display one inch of independence from his dear leader.
There are certain trillion dollar ideas that the private sector just won't do because it doesn't pencil or because of whatever market failure is there.
That's where you need government.
First of all, the debt path we're on is not sustainable.
That I think identity has become too central to how my party thinks.
