Okay, good.

James played them a couple of songs and they went, yeah, sign them, produce them, and they did.

We went in the studio shortly thereafter, we put a little band together, advertised in the Melody Maker for musicians.

And chose a keyboard player and a bass player.

Don Shin and Luis Sonamo.

And James' friend, Joel O'Brien, who is a New York drummer, who's one of James' best friends, who we knew we wanted to use.

And we embarked on the production of the first James Taylor album.

At Trident Studios.

And, you know, it just sort of dawned on me there was something was amiss.

I just thought he was extremely moody and, you know, and late and stuff.

But eventually I realized these were all the symptoms of a major disease.

He got some respectful reviews and stuff and then decided to go back to America.
