Comfrey played the drums as well.

Kenny Edwards played the bass, but Andrew played most of the instruments and had a lot of the ideas.

So I worked with Andrew on that record.

I mean, we lucked out.

We had the right song.

Linda sang it brilliantly, but it was one of those cases where you work a couple of days on a record in the studio and you kind of go, if this isn't a hit, I don't know what is.

Everyone you play it to likes it.

Except Linda, who initially didn't like the guitar stuff in the middle.

Oh, the weird.

All the multiple guitar parts.

She went, oh, it sounds like the Beatles.

I don't know.

And I went, yeah, it does sound a bit like the Beatles, but that's why it's so cool.

She changed her mind.

Yeah.

But it is that one-of-a-kindness that is the link, I think.

I mean, I find myself particularly drawn to singers who are instantly identifiable, among whom I number you.

Thank you, that's surprising.

Because, I mean, your voice is another one where you're going to go, oh, I know who that is.
