Their discretionary spending will probably go down.
They may not be able to afford that extra city break, maybe even not be able to afford the main summer holiday or go quite as far as they used to.
So spending is under pressure as well.
All of this does put the squeeze on low-cost airlines and on all airlines in general.
The boss of Lufthansa a few weeks ago put it very well.
He said this crisis is going to mean that the strong get stronger and the weak get weaker.
You'll see airlines that are already making decent money, such as Ryanair as a classic example, are going to do fine out of this.
They're going to survive.
They may even go on to be bigger than they were before.
Weaker airlines, ones who are already losing money, are going to struggle even more than they did before as well.
Ryanair does have very healthy financials.
They have taken the low cost model to about as far as they can push it.
And as a result, they do very well out of it.
I flew over to Dublin last year to spend the day with them.
And I think my ticket price for the day was 23 euros.
But if I wanted to pick my seat, I had to pay 10 euros each way.
And if I wanted to take a bag or have a drink on board, I'd have had to pay more as well.
They're very, very good at getting people in with low fares and then getting them to pay for other things as well on top.
That is an excellent question and genuinely unknown.
Quite a lot of it depends on what happens in the Middle East and whether the jet fuel price stays at its very, very high levels for months and months and months and months to come.
