So if you want to get a strong right bicep, you know that you need the resistance, the adversity of the heaviness of a dumbbell in your right hand.

Do you see that?

Okay, I know, but this is what we're working on right now and why there's so much resistance, right?

To stay with the metaphor, you know that if you're going to want to strengthen your right bicep, you have to put some sort of weight significant in your right hand and do curls, right?

That's how you're going to strengthen that bicep.

How do you think we're gonna help Joe to become better at being empathetic, compassionate, all accepting and allow and make space for all of it?

What would be one of the quote unquote equivalent dumbbells for her to be able to learn that capacity to love?

Well you can get rid of the gas, that's the only thing that's missing.

You have a tattoo that says make space for all of it and yet you're not doing that.

Okay.

Like you're a sweetheart.

I don't deny your capacity to love, but your capacity to love right now is being completely compromised by your denial of a part of your humanity.

Like you said you suppress negative feelings, I get it.

How do you think that's gonna work in a relationship?

You're gonna meet some guy who never gets negative, you're gonna meet a guy who's just like the poster child for positivity, optimism, you know, happy go lucky all the time.

Do you think that guy's gonna be like a real, real human?

No negative thing f emotions, no worries, no stress, gets laid off from work and is just like coming home bouncing like the, you know, fucking at the end of the rainbow and life is good?

Or do you think that you might have a partner from time to time who's gonna deal with the stress of heartache?

You know, that maybe his parents have gone into hospice, God forbid one of them's died, maybe his brother's just gotten cancer, maybe he gets laid off from work.
