having some type of paper in place really ends up being the way that that's done.
I don't see the legislatures in many states going and spending a lot of time and cleaning up the goo that is the regulatory environment within those state and local areas to be able to do that.
So I think in some cases it's required just because the laws are there as well.
I think the third vector is, you know, we still have a lot of people in this country who
don't want the government to have their routing number and account number or any electronic payment.
They go through many different ways to try to avoid being found electronically to the point where they'll go to a financial institution and get a cashier's check to pay their taxes.
They'd rather get a prepaid debit card for any type of refund that's coming through or a check and they'll take it and cash it at a bank that the check is drawn off of.
just so they're not found.
So I think between those three vectors, there's a lot to still overcome in there.
We've been pushing for electronic payments.
I mean, I have literally spent my entire career trying to kill the check.
And I'd love to say I'd like to see it in my lifetime.
And I'm not sure that
I will.
I'd love to say five years from now, we'll, we'll have checks, but I would say that five years from now, we're going to have less checks.
And hopefully the ones that are being the ones that are being cut are for particular purposes and not just because, you know, we've been lazy in the process.
Yeah, I think for pay by bank is interesting, right?
So the concept's been around for a long time.
It continues to evolve in terms of how people are using it.
