So no possibility that anybody might admit it was a mistake ever.
When I wrote my first book, The Abolition of Britain in 1999, I did so in the belief that it was possible.
What I began to think was writing, I then wrote for the Daily Express, writing a weekly column, frankly, in the Daily Express was not going to have much influence.
What I really wanted to do was particularly was to get into national broadcasting.
And I was advised by a friend that you can't get anywhere very much in national broadcasting.
if you haven't written a book.
And so I wrote the book with the purpose of extending the reach of my ideas.
And in fact, it was quite interesting.
