OK, in the final part of this podcast, we're going to be talking about Liverpool and West Ham.
Welcome back.
In the final part of the Sky Sports Football Weekend preview, we'll be looking ahead to the Monday night football clash between Liverpool and West Ham.
Gerrard, we saw a rare thing in midweek, didn't we?
No, not West Ham losing at Man City, which has become a bit of a habit for the Hammers, unfortunately.
But Liverpool's first team were beaten.
I think only Napoli can really claim that so far this season.
I'm not sure Aston Villa can really claim it was Liverpool's first team in the Carabao Cup.
But Atletico pulled it off as well.
So how did they do it?
And...
Can Liverpool turn this around at Anfield in the second leg?
Well I think Klopp made the point after the game that
that game not being next week but a few weeks time it's hard to tell what position those teams will be in in terms of fitness of key players etc etc one thing we do know that Ben is that for West Ham it doesn't get any easier as we said about their loss to Man City in midweek now they go to Anfield on Monday night
They're trapped in a really tough run of fixtures at the moment, aren't they?
After the Liverpool game they've got Southampton at home which is perhaps a game to target but then that's followed by Arsenal away, Wolves at home, Tottenham away, Chelsea at home.
Then they've got an interest in running.
They've got Newcastle, Burnley, Norwich, Watford.
Man Utd but then Aston Villa which is already looking to me like a huge game on the last day of the season feels like it could go to the wire but there's an interesting mentality there isn't there about when you're stuck in a tough run of fixtures and you perhaps see these opportunities on the horizon
