Explicitly, stablecoin is not a security, which explicitly removes it from the regulation of the SEC.

And then it importantly puts

very specific regulatory requirements around it.

So there's federal regulation run by the Fed and the OCC and one other entity that I can't remember offhand.

And then if you're an ecosystem of under $10 billion, you can choose to be state regulated, provided your state has a state crypto regulator that meets the federal regulatory standards, which there's none of 50 states that have that right now, but this is an evolving situation.

Anyway, that's the summary.

Well, okay.

I'm going to give a long view answer to this.

So I have a crypto-friendly attitude, right?

I do think that we should have digital currencies.

And if you take the long view, if you look out, pick your timeframe, 10, 15, 20, 25 years.

If you believe...

that the economy will be more digital in that future point, then we need more efficient digital ways to pay.

And so stablecoins offer a very efficient digital way to pay.

So plus one, yay, it's good to have stablecoins in the future.

But here we are now.

They were kind of in a gray area until about 10 days ago.
