Well, I'm enjoying what I'm doing.
I'm enjoying the teaching and the sharing about leadership and what I've learned and hopefully helping others in their leadership journey.
And I'm enjoying being a chief executive at PHF Science.
It's full of really smart people doing fantastic work.
It's public sector adjacent, so I'm not right in the thick of it because being in public sector, particularly being a chief executive of whatever flavour, is really, really intense.
It's one of the hardest jobs there is.
And I think people underestimate just how challenging it can be.
So I'm glad I'm not in the thick of it at the moment and I'm enjoying what I'm doing and we'll just see what's next.
What's sparking joy in the current role?
PHF science.
Like public health and forensic science.
Yes.

Formerly ESR.
And so we do all the infectious disease surveillance for the country and all the forensic work for police from crime scene investigation, all the lab work, drug testing, including the testing in wastewater that's
giving us a lot of information, very popular in the media.
So a lot of really interesting work.
And so what's given me joy is seeing the passion that these people have for their work.
And I recently did a round of sort of open door drop-in sessions with staff and oh my goodness, no one came to complain.
They all came to just tell me about the work they were doing and how amazing it was and suggestions for how we could do even more as an organisation.
