But I think that what we've seen is that we have now some really good case studies for students to follow in terms of how you can do it right in crypto.

I think that crypto...

for better or for worse, got a bad rep, especially just given all of the scams that happen in crypto.

And so when you've got something which is like AI, which is growing super fast, is very high prestige, and then you look at crypto, what

really bright person with all the opportunities available to them is going to come into the space.

And so that's why we had a bit of a brain drain.

I remember when ChatGPT came out, our office space in NSF, all of the early stage startups immediately pivoted from crypto to AI.

And I think, though, we're starting to see a

the smart people starting to come back into crypto, which actually makes me extremely bullish and optimistic for the space.

I think we're, interestingly enough, actually starting to see this happen from the top this time, where a lot of really, really smart entrepreneurs who have made it very big are now talking about crypto.

We have Robinhood that recently launched their chain.

We have a lot of big fintech startups who are now launching their own blockchains as well, getting into stablecoins, Stripe.

So I think that, well, it's interesting because

Like at the student level and the grassroots level, the interest hasn't necessarily come all the way back yet and the excitement.

But at the high level, with some of the people who are the deepest in the weeds at an institutional level, it's absolutely raging right now.

Yeah, it's a really, really good question.

I think just back to my experience,

ultimately why do people come into crypto there is something that a16z often talk about which is the price innovation cycle i think about why i got into it i was really fascinated by the tech in 2013 stumbled across the bitcoin white paper but it was also fun to make money uh through bitcoin mining and i think that every cycle has seen this and so right now when prices are so depressed

there's no getting around the fact that it is different.
