I think that's a fair way to put it.

He's a former rebel himself.

And so he has not been a fan.

But the U.S.

military and the Colombian military have a very, very strong relationship.

The U.S.

has been a partner for many, many decades now in Colombia's war against drugs since I was based there in the very early 2000s.

And so the U.S.

counted Colombia as perhaps the strongest military ally in Latin America, period, full stop.

And so it's a little bit of a different thing there because it's their objection really is to the president.

Not so much even, you know, the broader situation.

Trump and the president just do not have not gotten along until the last hours, you know, basically.

So which is a remarkable turnaround.

And I realize it's difficult.

I don't know when you're airing this, but.

Anyway, so.

I did.

So I didn't I never I've never actually stepped foot on the island of Cuba, but I did talk to him when he was in Brazil and I used to be based in Brazil.

And and it was a long time ago.

It was during the Clinton administration.
