remarkably low.
And you'd say, Well that that's not good for their own interests.
You know, it may be good for the short run interests of many individuals, but it isn't good for the long run sustainability of a societal structure that you know that adds up in my view.
I yes, I I mean put it this way, it i if if you raise taxes over here and cut them well don't cut them but you know, provide credits over here that uh you know, effectively redistribute spending to those with a higher propensity to spend, the net effect will, you know, probably avoid a contraction, put it that way.

My my worry or my problem is simply that you don't have um you know, the the good things going on
on the supply side of the economy uh to boost investment, to boost uh productivity, to boost nominal growth.
That's that's problem number one.
You could say, well, the government shouldn't necessarily be the driver of that, but it's obviously, you know, helpful to create an environment that supports that.
But I think the other problem is just the the liability structure the US government has.
Is not favourable to budget discipline.
And I I think unless and until we get a bipartisan uh commission or whatever to to really address the issues of structural deterioration in the US budget, which is really not about spending on the poor or even the emergency situations, but on the the well to do, you know, uh the medical
The US is crazy because it has medical programmes to support the well to do when they get old and have an infinite demand for health care.
It it provides very little to people when they're younger and poor.
That's the worst possible system.
