So there are always really difficult claims to work with.
But other ones, you know, just we had a client who
had chronic fatigue and had a really difficult situation in terms of just off work you know chronic fatigue symptoms they kind of come and go people want to get back to work you know for financial need that we had some difficulty getting the income protection paid as early as we could so we kind of went back and forward with the insurance company a lot several grumpy emails to go hey i think it's in your best interest as the insurer it's in the client's best interest to get paid as early as possible and so let's get this payment done sooner rather than later

First of all, we don't know.
They were obviously engaged in wanting to get their insurance sorted out.
They did have half a million dollars worth of life cover.
So a lot of people, when they come with that level of cover, they think, well, my super's got half a million dollars.
That's probably enough.
You know,
They did have some debt, but not a significant amount.
And so going through the process, it was actually about the disability cover that we really wanted to have much higher.
When we set up disability cover, we often link life insurance.
It's actually often cheaper just to have life insurance there.
So it was actually really fortunate that being experts, knowing that it's going to be cheaper to have that life insurance attached to the disability, we set up the disability cover that was pretty significant for a whole bunch of reasons in terms of the sums insured were really high and having the life insurance at
which most people wouldn't know that it actually becomes cheaper when you're setting it up yourself, meant that there's potentially over $3 million going to this family.
Yeah, so just touching on super, so yeah, I remember that conversation.
And why were you open?
up the statement and you had $230,000.
And I was like, okay, you sure that's enough if you're completely disabled?
