Verse 13, Jesus comes to the world stage.
Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John to be baptized by him.
John would have prevented him saying, I need to be baptized by you.
And do you come to be baptized by me?
That is, John felt unworthy to baptize Christ.
Just like many of us sometimes feel unworthy to serve Christ.
Our past, our mistakes, our failures, our insecurities, our lack of education.
Listen, God can use anyone who is willing and able.
But Jesus answered him, Let it be so for now.
For thus it is fitting to fulfil all righteousness.
Then he consented.
And when Jesus was baptized.
He immediately came up
out of the water and behold
The heavens were open over him.
And he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove.
And coming to rest on his shoulder which was prophetic.
But the scripture said
Whoever you see this dove land on.
