Jesus comes down to this filthy, dirty body of water to be baptized by John in the same river.
Now John's baptism is a baptism for repentance.
But Jesus has never sinned.
So why is Jesus?
Going down to John to be baptized.
If John's baptism was only for sinners, why is a sinless man going to be baptized for a baptism for sinners?
He has never committed sins.
He lived a perfect life.
Why is the son of God who was perfect going down to this filthy river to be baptized by a man which is a baptism for sinners?
Why did Jesus do that?
Did he do that to repent?
Had nothing to repent of.
