And it's what happens in Bondy, which is exceptionally good because of one particular mayor who really, really was a visionary in the 70s.
It's happening all over the place.
And that, of course, there is an element of sport is one of the ways that if you are a youth coming from second or third, actually, generation immigrant background, this is a place where you can, you have tons of role models, people that can inspire you in basketball, in football, in handball, in athletics and so forth, judo.
But you have the place where you can actually fulfill that passion that you have and that hope.
And you have the support, the full support of the local council and of the state.
And because of that, well, you know what?
If there are talented kids, they come through.
And then the structure is in place.
to welcome them within the local clubs and then within Clairefontaine of course and the national institute of football you know you've got um there are that that for me is the main reason it's because a huge amount of effort and money and thought went into a program of promoting sports which is not really something which is typically french uh historically speaking has changed
and it has borne fruit and because what you say for football would also be valid for for athletics and with also judo again which is huge in france would also be true and and what you see in bondi you will see in most of the cities in the parisian suburbs
That, for me, is the big reason.
Yeah, it's very hard to get one answer because I would say in the situation... There are cases, yes, of players who genuinely wanted to play for the country their parents or grandparents came from.

I would say comment that that's happened.
I would say that the dream remains to play for France.
And it's not just a question of patriotic feeling.
It's also the question you want to play with the best.
And France is the best.
As simple as that.
