you do set out some sort of concluding thoughts.

The book is a journey, actually.

I mean, you started there by reading the opening paragraphs and then you take us with you on a journey of great interest and some considerable complexity.

There's a lot of thinking that's gone into the book and a lot of thinking that is required of the reader, which is a wonderful thing.

But your conclusion at the end, in a sense, is that

The suffering, well, you said, the suffering that I see in a clinic in relation to all of these functions you play arises from loss, fear, and misdirected or thwarted love.

It's a very clean conclusion.

Can you say a little bit more about that and how that informs how you go about

the direction you're now going to take, having reached a point of difficulty with the way in which the training you have been through has taught you to address these issues?

And you're using intuition each time to work out what direction to go?

You were never, I mean, we're both, you know, I'm a little bit older than you, but of a generation where, as we were growing up, these things were not part of our lives.

I mean, one of the things that's really struck me in my life is in relations with my children who are in their late 20s, early 30s, and their friends, the issue of...

I mean, the number of conversations we've had where they'll say X or Y is having these mental health issues, that did not exist in my childhood.

It did not exist in my teenage years.

It didn't exist in my 20s or 30s.

It was something that only began much later.

So what is that actually about?

that there has been a qualitative change?

Is it that there is a change of consciousness about what's happening to us?
