And you know there's a transition coming, but you don't want it to come.
And you want, you know, and then when you get a win like they did against Llyod, then you're going, that's all right.
You're going, that's alright, we're actually not gone that far off the cliff right now.
But when you look at the squad, it's such a new squad.
Any team that's gone through the transition Dublin has gone through over the last two seasons, I would highly doubt that they would be back to the top level of competing for All-Ireland's.
Questionable, should they be winning Leinsters?
I still think they should.
They've still enough quality in that changing room with the amount of medals and experience.
But the problem is the others that have come in and around those lads need time.
Like the back six against Westmead, I think five of them.
a kind of they're new they're not experienced players bar Davey Bourne you know and I would have always felt that even as a full back you need at least two or three years unless you're an exceptional player you need to feel comfortable and calm every play by play particularly when you're in Crowe Park when everybody's watching you
you know there's a phase of your career when you're young you kind of go you get this nervousness where you're kind of going to the referee will you blow it up I've kept my man score just blow it up I want this game to be over and I feel great then you get to the stage where you have to be nice and calm and relaxed in that specialised full back position and you kind of go give me more time referee give me five more minutes I'm playing well here I want a challenge these lads that are playing
are only in the door you know and there's fringe players of course but those fringe players probably didn't get enough time considering that at certain points that there was other ex-players brought back in so they haven't even developed so it's a bit of a mess to be honest and the problem is then the expectations of everybody else outside of that group is just kind of up and down
It's like they win, oh great, we're back.
It's something that's probably going to have to happen.
You know, they're going to, again, we spoke about dormancy.
It's probably going to have to happen.
It's not what we want as Dublin people.
Of course, we want to be winning more All Orleans, more Leinsters, but...
That stage where, look, there was a point where in time where people were crawling over each other for Parnell Park season tickets and probably they're all selling them now.
