And no matter what, obviously there'd be a limit to a scoreline in terms of how far the opposition are ahead, but you can claw it back.

And that's what I felt happened.

That's the key, though.

That was the key.

It was the kick-outs.

That's where they lost the game, Galway.

Because their conversion rate is actually not bad.

Their conversion rate was 60%.

Yeah.

They only had 30 shots, right?

And then if you look at Dublin, Dublin had 65% conversion rate after 34 shots.

So primary possession, winning the kick-outs...

They didn't get their own kick-outs, they were down to 48% whereas Dublin were up to 78% on their own.

And then you look at the opposition kick-out for Galway getting after Dublin, it was only 22%.

So kick-outs was the key.

So you're not getting the shots off if you don't have the ball.

Well, that was the one concern I had about Galway all year, was their defensive structure.

That's why I didn't, there was a lot of people tipping them for the All-Ireland and I was kind of thinking they'd be cut out defensively there.

But that is blatantly obvious, like that you don't leave Conn one-on-one inside.

I always tell a story about John Smallmark and Con in DCU and Dec Darcy was doing this drill where he just said, we're going to do this kind of kick in.
